Payment, Refund & Financial Responsibility Policy
Effective Date: 28th February 2011 onwards
This policy applies to all students, applicants, parents, sponsors, educational institutions, universities, colleges, pathway providers, and partner organizations engaging with IEIS.io.
1. Introduction
IEIS.io acts solely as an educational information, advisory, recruitment, application support, and student guidance platform. IEIS.io does not operate as a financial institution, payment processor, escrow service, university finance office, or tuition collection agency unless explicitly stated in writing.
By using IEIS.io services, all students, applicants, sponsors, and customers acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
2. Direct Payment Requirement
All tuition fees, deposits, accommodation fees, visa-related fees, registration fees, insurance fees, examination fees, and any other institutional charges must be paid directly to the relevant university, college, school, pathway provider, awarding body, government authority, or designated official recipient.
Students should only make payments using payment methods officially approved and communicated by the institution concerned.
IEIS.io does not require students to make payments to IEIS.io for institutional fees unless a separate written service agreement specifically states otherwise.
3. No Custody of Student Funds
IEIS.io does not:
- Hold student tuition fees
- Collect tuition fees on behalf of institutions
- Manage university deposits
- Operate client trust accounts
- Act as an escrow service
- Control institutional payment systems
- Manage financial transactions between students and educational institutions
Any payment made by a student directly to an institution is solely between the student and that institution.
4. No Liability for Payments
IEIS.io shall not be responsible or liable for:
- Tuition fee payments
- Deposit payments
- Accommodation payments
- Scholarship disbursements
- Financial transfers
- Currency exchange fluctuations
- Banking charges
- Payment processing delays
- International transfer fees
- Credit card charges
- Financial losses arising from payment errors
- Incorrect beneficiary details provided by third parties
- Failed transactions conducted outside IEIS.io systems
Students are solely responsible for ensuring that payments are made correctly and on time.
5. Refund Responsibility
Any refund request relating to:
- Tuition fees
- Deposits
- Accommodation fees
- Registration fees
- Application fees
- Insurance fees
- Institutional charges
must be submitted directly to the institution or organization that received the payment.
IEIS.io does not:
- Approve refunds
- Process refunds
- Authorize refunds
- Guarantee refunds
- Hold refund funds
- Determine refund eligibility
Refund decisions are governed solely by the policies, regulations, and contractual terms of the institution receiving the payment.
6. Institutional Decisions
All financial decisions remain the sole responsibility of the relevant institution, including:
- Fee assessments
- Deposit requirements
- Scholarship awards
- Refund approvals
- Refund rejections
- Payment deadlines
- Penalties and charges
IEIS.io has no authority to override, modify, influence, or guarantee any institutional financial decision.
7. Visa Refusals and Refunds
In the event of a visa refusal, cancellation, withdrawal, deferment, or change of study plans:
- Refund eligibility shall be determined solely by the institution's published refund policy.
- IEIS.io cannot guarantee any refund outcome.
- IEIS.io is not responsible for any financial losses arising from visa decisions made by immigration authorities.
Students are advised to carefully review the refund policy of their chosen institution before making any payment.
8. Third-Party Financial Services
Students may use third-party payment providers, banks, remittance companies, foreign exchange providers, or online payment platforms. IEIS.io shall not be responsible for:
- Service interruptions
- Processing delays
- Transfer failures
- Exchange rate changes
- Banking errors
- Fraud committed by third parties
- Payment disputes involving third-party providers
Students use such services entirely at their own risk.
9. Financial Advice Disclaimer
Information provided by IEIS.io regarding tuition fees, living costs, scholarships, financial requirements, or estimated expenses is provided for general informational purposes only.
Such information:
- May change without notice
- May be updated by institutions at any time
- Does not constitute financial advice
- Does not create any guarantee or obligation
Students should verify all costs directly with the institution concerned.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, IEIS.io, its directors, employees, consultants, representatives, agents, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Financial losses
- Lost deposits
- Tuition disputes
- Refund disputes
- Banking errors
- Foreign exchange losses
- Scholarship disputes
- Institutional financial decisions
- Indirect or consequential damages arising from educational applications or payments
Any financial agreement exists solely between the student and the institution receiving the funds.
11. Student Acknowledgement
By using IEIS.io services, students acknowledge and agree that:
- IEIS.io is not a payment collection service
- Institutional fees must be paid directly to the institution unless otherwise confirmed in writing
- IEIS.io is not responsible for refunds
- IEIS.io does not guarantee refund approval
- Financial disputes must be resolved directly with the institution receiving the payment
- Students are responsible for conducting their own financial due diligence before making any payment
12. Policy Updates
IEIS.io reserves the right to amend, modify, or update this policy at any time without prior notice. The latest version published on the IEIS.io website shall supersede all previous versions.
